During the COVID-19 lockdowns, many businesses decided to provide delivery services. New York’s Six Harbors Brewing Company is one of these companies and it has decided to accept online and telephone orders and deliver its beer to clients.
The owners of the business, Karen and Mark Heuwetter, came up with different strategies to cheer up their clients who had no choice but to stay locked up in their own homes. It was during this time that the owners considered bringing their two Golden Retrievers with them during deliveries.
Barley and Buddy, also known as “beer dogs” because of their involvement in the delivery services, have gained fast popularity. Anyone who receives their orders is greeted with an instant smile. In fact, many clients request that the brew dogs should be the ones to deliver their orders. The dogs have definitely become the company’s main attraction and customers were unable to resist the dogs’ allure and charm.
Buddy and Barley cheerfully greet customers as they approach them while bringing their beer orders. There were grins, pats, and embraces for the pets and they were all very heartwarming scenes to watch.
Since the two dogs were well-trained, they were of great assistance to their owners. In addition to being able to follow orders and commands, they also possess excellent customer service skills.
As word spread about the brew dogs, an increasing number of consumers purchased beers from Six Harbors. When the dogs arrived at their customers’ homes, the customers couldn’t help but take photographs with Barley and Buddy.
There are currently no lockdowns in the community. Still, the beer company receives requests from customers to have the brew dogs deliver their beer orders. This is strong proof that Barley and Buddy have undeniably won the hearts of the company’s customers.
Due to the success of Barley and Buddy as delivery staff, Karen and Mark realized they had made a wise decision. Now, not only is the beer company popular, but so are its brew dogs.
Barley and Buddy’s delivery services continue to generate smiles. People who adore both dogs and beer have applauded their endearing and charming attitude.
